The Yaiza borough incorporates the whole southern part of Lanzarote including the famous Papagayo Beaches, regarded as the possibly the best in Spain. A large area of the stunning Timanfaya National Park is also situated in the borough of Yaiza. This borough also plays host to two prestigious marinas - Puerto Calero and Marina Rubicon. Yaiza village itself is very picturesque and over the years has won several awards for being the best kept town in the Canaries.
