Townhouses in Lanzarote are different to townhouses in the UK. Town houses in the Canary Islands are normally terraced or semi-detached properties on one or two floors that were built 20 or more years ago. They can be found in almost all the villages of the island and in the large residential areas of Arrecife. They are often deceptively large properties, usually double fronted, and often have a small patio to the rear of the property and access to the roof area. For anyone buying property in Spain and who wants to integrate into the local community and into the local way of life, a townhouse is an excellent investment.
