Haria
Haría
Haría is situated in the north
of the Lanzarote and, as a result of its micro-climate,
it is the greenest part and is well known as the 'Valley of a Thousand
Palms'. Although it is a large borough, being predominantely rural,
it only has a population of approximately 5000. The tourist attractions
of Jameos del Agua, the Green Caves and El Mirador del Rio all fall
within the boundaries of Haría and the fresh fish restaurants
in Arrieta, Punta Mujeres and Orzola make a trip North well worth
the effort. The highest point on Lanzarote,"Las Peñas
del Chache" at 670m. is also in Haria.
